I'd be ok with that if I could crit them with a sniper (glass cannon), but I couldn't. A single spear from one of those tribals (non upgraded) took of my entire shield and left me with 2k hp. They gave most humans a helmet making criticals impossible solo, then at the same time gave them high hp and high damage output. They really killed this dlc for me as a sniper. Because of that, bosses are nearly impossible for those without the right gear setups. They try to make it challenging for people who have great gear, but over shoot it because of gear like conference call/bee, baby maker/bee and so forth. The scaling of end game items is what broke end game boss mechanics. I've taken down the dlc raid bosses with cheaper tactics, but the numbers are so badly tuned (hp and boss damage), that normal kill methods aren't fun solo. Even if they didn't scale, the damage output of high level items would have to scale to such a ridiculous value to make the bosses fairly soloable, an extra 10k per shot and 20k shield wouldn't really make the bosses soloable by normal means. Crawmerax scaled to the highest level of a group if I recall correctly. It's one thing to offer co-op, but they're basically forcing it on people now with everything they release. I've put 350hrs into B2 already (450 in the first game) and the drop rate is shit. I've still never killed Hyperius or the other guy (acid pools/worms bastard forget his name) because I don't have strong enough weapons, even though the ones I have are pretty damn strong and I know what tactics to use. But they're essentially keeping people from experiencing something they would otherwise enjoy by making some bad choices. That worked for B1 (going solo), and the base game of B2, but all the DLC has really changed that.Ī challenge is one thing, that's enjoyable. I know there are even a lot of people here on who've complained at times, because they either don't have other people who play, who play at the same time, and, some people just outright don't want to play with others/online. This last DLC is absolutely forcing you to need to play with other people, just like a few of the bosses in the last two DLCs. However, up until recently, it was never forced on you like it is now. It's only "meant" to be played co-op due to it being far more fun. There are bosses in the Pirate DLC that you need at least three people for and that's just not reasonable. It's becoming far too co-op focused, where as with the first game, even the end boss (Crawmerax) could be soloed. Torgue is featured in the DLC Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep in person, where it is revealed that “Mister Torgue” is his first name, and “Flexington” is his last.I don't like the direction they've been taking the game with the DLCs. How does Mr Torgue communicate with Flexington?įor the rest of the DLC, he communicates via ECHO from his “space-truck” in deep orbit around Pandora. He is a central character in the Guns, Love, and Tentacles DLC, as the Vault Hunters head to the planet of Xylourgos to attend his wedding to Wainwright Jakobs. Hammerlock resides in his quarters upon Sanctuary III after the Cold as the Grave story mission. He agrees to repair Claptrap’s eye after the Vault Hunters clear out Liar’s Berg, and then begins to send the Vault Hunters out on various research expeditions on the local fauna for his as yet unpublished almanac. Sir Hammerlock is the first friendly human encountered in Borderlands 2. What did Sir Hammerlock do Borderlands 2? He is a hunter who dresses in a ragged, futuristic version of a Victorian adventurer’s outfit. Sir Alistair Hammerlock is an NPC introduced in Borderlands 2. How many invincible bosses are in Borderlands 2?įull List of Raid Bosses in Borderlands 2 S. Shooting feels fast and furious, and every weapon somehow manages to appear handcrafted despite the procedural generation working away behind all those delicious loot drops. What was the best borderlands?īorderlands 3 Still, when it comes to gameplay, this is the best Borderlands has ever been. For seraph crystals, Pyro Pete is the easiest, followed by Hyperius. The dragons usually drop around 8 or 9 crystals a time in UVHM, along with the 70 to 80 eridium. Vermivorous will also accompany it in True Vault Hunter Mode / Mayhem mode. The third raid boss in Borderlands 3 was added in the Director’s Cut add-on, in the form of Hemovorous the Invincible, a gargantuan Varkid. Is there an invincible boss in Borderlands 3?
